Before you go any further into Charlotte’s post please check back in a couple of weeks for the men’s spring collection review which will be an update to this piece. We are kicking off the fashion portion to our blog with one of our favorite companies – Greg Norman Collection! Please enjoy Charlotte’s review and leave us your thoughts down in the comments.
Golf clothes hold a special place in my heart. My obsession began in college when I wore them all day, every day for convenience. Whenever I had free time, I’d be at the golf course. Now, I feel lucky that I wear golf clothes at work. At home, I have a closet for regular clothes and a closet for golf clothes. So I hope you feel like you can trust my opinions in the following review!
I was so excited to wear Greg Norman Collection since it was a brand I’ve never worn before. The 2018 Spring Catalog includes unique color combinations paired with fun patterns. It was fun to see outfits put together to make shopping a breeze. My favorite Collection is Barcelona (heart eyes emoji). The brilliant tile print pattern in Cayman Blue and Cilantro made for elegant detail incorporated many ways on different pieces. I was sent one pull-over, three polos and one pair of pants. Here are my thoughts:
EASY PLAY STRETCH PANT
97% POLYESTER / 3% SPANDEX TWILL
Comfort stretch Moisture Wicking 28″ inseam
UPF 50+
These soft and silky pants are weightless, which ensure comfort through the longest of golf rounds. The front and back pockets are so convenient for gloves, tees, balls, etc. and the style translates to off the golf course.
I think these pants would be perfect if they were made as a pull-on pant with a slightly tighter fit. I normally wear a size 4 or 27 in pants but ordered a 2 because golf pants always run big…I could have gone a size down. The length is perfect, ending right above the ankle, leaving room to show off your super cute golf shoes. Amazingly enough, these white pants were not see-through! Ladies, you know that’s one of our biggest concerns when buying white pants. Now, I was not wearing my brightest britches but it was still comforting knowing I had coverage. These pants comes in classic navy and black, but I’d love to see some wild colors and prints.
ML75 ATHENA S/L POLO
100% MICROFIBER POLYESTER INTERLOCK
This light and airy sleeveless polo has stunning details and feels amazing. From the elegant tile pattern across the back and the pipping all around to the dual colored collar which looked super cute “popped”. It was a uniquely styled polo. The only downside to this top was the length and how it was a bit baggy on me. I could have used a size smaller.
1⁄4-ZIP PIQUE VELOUR PULLOVER
60% COTTON / 40% POLYESTER PIQUE VELOUR
I am a sucker for anything warm and cozy. Since I’m a good ole Southern girl and get cold if the temperature drops below 80, I’m a sucker for a soft sweatshirt. This beautiful Cilantro pullover was more terrycloth than velour. However, it kept me super warm and fit great. Most golf outwear is baggy and doesn’t compliment what’s underneath well, but this ¼ zip complimented every piece I wore it with.
ML75 RIVIERA S/S ZIP MOCK
100% MICROFIBER POLYESTER INTERLOCK
Printed self collar
Tile print trim
Moisture wicking
UPF 50+
My new favorite polos are the zip/mock neck combo. It’s so flattering and a nice change to the regular fold down collar. This ultra soft polo was very comfortable and stylish. Subtle detailing inside the collar was a creative and classy move. I felt like a professional wearing this top.
PROTEK MICRO PIQUE S/S POLO G2S5K447
100% MICROFIBER POLYESTER PIQUE
At first this shirt seemed like your typical golf polo, the collar looked so cute popped and stayed up. Out of the three polos I received, this one fit the best. Tailored on each side with perfect sleeve length, I felt comfortable and classy. I love that it comes in just about any color also, making it the perfect team or company polo. I’d gladly wear this all day, every day.
Louisiana summers get hot and sticky, so I was thrilled to see “Moisture Wicking” on the tags. What made it better was also seeing UPF +50 as well. Certified clothing with Ultraviolet Protection Factor includes sunscreen, better absorption of sun radiation and event better protection when wet. The day I decided to hit the links, the temperature dropped from 80 to 60s, so I didn’t do much sweating. I can’t wait to sweat it out and put the Moisture Wicking technology to the test. Until then, let me know what you look for when buying golf clothes in the comments below!
