I feel like every time I turn around my wife has a new monthly subscription box showing up at our front door.  A beauty box…a box full of snacks…hell before we had kids we had a monthly box that had toys for our dog.  So all of us over here at Golf Starz are excited to see some monthly subscription boxes in the golf space.  We have seen boxes that include clothes, some mixed accessories, and really everything in between.

We came across IGC golf box.  IGC stands for “Intelligent Golf Club.”  Intelligent because IGC will send you accessories you will actually use on the course.

First off the concept is great, every month you get 6 golf balls, 10 tees and a couple hand picked accessories to help your game.  All of this for around $19 bucks a month.  Before we jump into the items in the box, let me break down how this works.  It is pretty simple.  Pick your plan, and sit back and wait.  IGC offers a year round subscription in addition to a seasonal package.  The seasonal package runs from March to September.  The seasonal package is great for us here in Ohio.  We are mid March and we just got a little more snow, so no need to stock pile in the winter months.  IGC sent us a box to try out and review.

Now to the box:

So this month’s box included:

What is in every box:

  • 6 3-piece urethane cover ball, in a carry bag.  I recently went out to try the balls out and was impressed with the performance.  The balls are not a “major” brand rather that are logoed with the IGC logo.  But these babies perform well.  So check your brand loyalty at the door, these balls will perform well.  I didn’t lose distance, still had feel around the green, and they rolled well on the green.
  • 10 IGC tees.  These eco tee are made of plastic and are high quality.  Who doesn’t need tees.

Items in this month’s box:

  • Glove – now honestly this was one of the more impressive items in the box.  The glove feels and performs like a glove that costs more than the whole box.  The glove looks sharp with a classic all white look and includes a IGC ball marker.
  • 2- Izzo Flatballs.  The Izzo Flatball is a swing plane trainer.  Basically, picture a flat golf ball.  if your swing plane is too shallow or to steep you will miss the ball.  These are great training tools to throw in the bag as they do not take up any space.
  • 1 Vegas Golf Game Beer Poker Chip.  This is a fun game to play with the boys.  On a par three whoever has the worst tee shot get the beer chip.  Whoever is left with it after the round, buys the first round.  Plus side…the poker chip doubles as a ball marker.

Past boxes have included items such as sunscreen, snack bars, iron brushes, and ball markers.  We got a sneak peak at some of the new items that have in upcoming boxes and trust us you will like it.

All in all, this is a great all around monthly subscription box.  For about 19 bucks a month you can grab some accessories rather than getting up-charged at the course.  It is up to you, head to the store and buy balls, tees, and other accessories or let the store come to you.

Look commitment can be a scary thing, so IGC has decided to make it easier for you to tip your toe in the monthly subscription box water.  IGC has offered our followers a unique discount code.  All you have to do is use “GOLFSTARZ” and will get 100% off the first box (you just have to cover the $2.95 shipping).

Give IGC a follow on Facebook and Instagram and tell em Golf Starz sent ya.

IGC gave us a box free of charge to try and do an honest review. All of the reviews we share on Golf Starz are our own opinions.  Golf Starz have been given the box as part of a product review. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain our own and were in no way influenced by the company.  Golf Starz does not receive any referral fees for use of the discount code.
