Product Review- Arnold Palmer Apparel
We have all heard stories about Arnold Palmer…. the on-course victories; inventing one of the most delicious beverages; but the thing that stands out to me most is the man Mr. Palmer was. Selfless, giving and charitable are just a few words that I would use to describe him. From the letters, he wrote to the hours of autographs to the endless charitable giving. While the letters and autographs sadly ended with Mr. Palmer’s passing, the charitable giving is able to continue posthumously through companies like Arnold Palmer Apparel. Arnold Palmer Apparel has formed a unique association with the foundation to further the philanthropic efforts of Mr. Palmer and his Family. As they say “look great…do good.” He really was the people’s golfer, the King. Now and forever we will always be proud to be in Arnie’s Army.
So, we have covered the do-good piece of the equation now it’s time to talk about the look good.
“I think I’ve heard somebody say that I was a well-dressed golfer. I guess that has something to do with the fact that a lot of people who play golf don’t dress very well.”
-Arnold Palmer
Arnold Palmer Apparel sent us a couple pieces in their line to try out and do an honest review. First off, we were excited when we were able to connect with Arnold Palmer Apparel since we have been buying their clothes since they hit the market. Throughout their product line, the subtitle but iconic umbrella logo really sets this brand apart from the field. Arnie always had a classic look on the course and that classic look really comes through in each piece.
Each polo is named after a course or moment in Mr. Palmer’s career. Classic looking golf shirts that range from solid colors to some bold stripes that will look good whether you are tackling the muni course or teeing it up at the nicest private club. We were sent the PGA West and Magnolia – all the polos are made from performance material with a stretchy feel that really gives when you are on the course. The shirts were very breathable and performed well on the course.
Shirts felt great, but I am normally an XL in most polos and I had to size up to a XXL for the polos.
Arnold Palmer Apparel sent us the Turtle Hill and Arnold Palmer Cup quarter zips to review. The Turtle Hill is a classic solid color while the Arnold Palmer Cup has a newer modern look to it. Similar to the polos, the quarter zips are made of performance material. The big thing that stood out to me about these is that they are thick enough to keep you warm in the fall but are very breathable too. These are perfect for fall golf and look great layering with the polo.
I felt like the quarter zip fit very true to size – we did not have to size up.
For the last couple of months, I have been trying to switch from shorts to pants full time. Until recently, I have avoided wearing pants like the plague. I think the major problem has been finding pants that don’t feel like I am back in prep school. I am a huge fan of the Citrus Classic pants. They have a classic appeal and are very versatile and look great on and off the course. The pants feel light but even in high winds and some lower temps I have not felt chilly.
The pants, similar to the quarter zip, fit true to size.
The belt is the unsung hero of every outfit. Gone are the days of boring brown or black belt. We owned the Web Belt and Arnold Palmer Apparel sent us the Braided Belt and Canvas Belt. The canvas belt is now one of my favorite belts in my closet.
All in all, Arnold Palmer Apparel is win, win, win. Price point is great – with the most expensive item on their website being 99 bucks, but a majority of the items are in the 50-60 buck range. At that price pick a couple things up and know that a portion of the sale goes back to Arnie’s charity. The look of each piece is classic, and the added touch of the iconic umbrella and Arnie’s signature will really set you apart from the crowd. Side note – can we talk about the signature for a minute? Adding the signature is such a great detail. Arnold Palmer would stay after he finished his round until he signed every autograph. I think adding his signature is a constant reminder of the man he was. I take a minute when I see the signature to challenge myself to try and be more like Arnie.
Look Great – Do Good

I would love the Magnolia shirt in Turf in a size L. And the web belt in black 36 is one of the best, most respectful tributes to Mr. Palmer. I would be honored to wear it.

Mr. Palmer’s legacy is that he has made a positive impact in our world. He certainly affected my life. Arnie’s game might have faded with time, but his passion and sincere care for the game of golf and the people had never diminished. I will always miss seeing Arnie play golf, but I will always remember when he played golf in our town. Jim Pavlicek, Tumwater, WA
