Golf Starz Product Review – Jones Golf Bags
If you are like me and have been golfing for a long time then there is a really good chance that you have (at the very least) heard of Jones Golf Bags. Most people would agree… you just know a Jones Golf Bag when you see one. In fact, they’re one of few companies that have never had to change their design simply because it works and looks so good. They just continue to build and innovate on an already great, stylish product.
Jones sent us one of their best sellers – the light gray utility stand bag – which (again) is a simple classic design from Jones. This bag actually brought back a lot of memories of my first ever junior golf bag which had my name on the side. To this day, Jones Golf Bags are not over logo’d and each bag can be personalized which is sadly rare from what we’ve seen from other companies. And what I loved about their bags then is what I love about them now… they’re simple. Not a lot of extra bells and whistles. They’re the perfect weight/size but also have plenty of storage and cool new features like the drawstring pocket which allows for easy access to your golfing essentials (which for me is provisional golf balls).
Like I said Jones has never had to change their design… you can see that they still have some of their recognizable characteristics like the intertwined handle and their classic buckled strap. But they have also thought of some new innovative stuff too. Below the draw string pocket is an angled pocket for easy access on the move and they have also included a beverage sleeve with an insulated liner… a feature every golf bag should have in my opinion. And for those who like to walk, they have also included an expectedly comfortable second strap to make it easy to navigate those long walks down the fairway and roughs. But it can also be carried using the traditional single strap method which is perfect around the green and tee boxes. And honestly, it’s really tough to find a good walking bag these days – one that has all the necessities and is not a pain to get clubs in and out of. And for guys like me who have been trying to walk more and more, this is a welcomed addition.
I should also mention that they have a variety of other golf bags. If you are an exclusive walker and enjoy a simple but stylish bag then you really should check out these awesome carry bags. Or if you just like to kick back and relax during your round then you need to check out their riding bags.
So to recap, here is what you are getting with the utility stand bag from Jones Golf:
- Modern day convenience
- Old-school simplicity
- Jones Golf comfortability
- Ease (whether riding or walking)
For a couple hundred dollars you can have a bag that will turn heads on the course. Be sure to check out all of Jones stand bags here.
