Golf Starz Product Review – Ouul Golf Bags
Are you a golfer that tends to buy more classic looking gear or are you a golfer that is looking for something that separates you from the pack? Ouul bags make a bag no matter what kind of golfer you are.
Ouul sent us a Camo Stand Bag (Silver Classic) and a Waterproof Stand Bag in Navy, I noticed these are not currently on Ouul’s website, but are very similar to the Python Super Light Stand Bag. A couple overarching comments on both bags. All of Ouul’s bags are not over logo’d and each bag has a unique design, a welcomed change to a majority of the bags on the market today. Additionally, all the bags Ouul sells comes with a strap cover, a simple yet overlooked addition. Now let’s get into each bag.
First the Camo Stand Bag (Silver Classic):
The first thing that stood out to me bag is the unique look. We have seen a number of companies come out with a real tree camo bag or a traditional green camo bag but I have not seen many with a black and white take. Not only does the color combination give this bag a unique look, that coupled with the stitching pattern really make this bag stand out. The camo stand bag weighs in at 8.6 lbs, which is light enough to carry. Additionally, the bag has ample storage, with a built insulated beverage sleeve. You know for a pop…or beer.
Second, since the bag they sent us is not currently on the website, I am going to write about something available that is very similar to what Ouul sent us:
While, this bag also has a unique look, no different than every bag in the Ouul line, the first thing that stood out to me was how light this bag was. I am not going to lie, given a choice, I would never walk a round of golf. That being said, I have been trying to walk more to get some exercise. Since this bag weighs in at 2.7 lbs, my bag weighing to much is no longer an excuse. Even with such a light weight to the bag, there is still a surprising amount of storage in the bag and all of my clubs were secure during my round. Lastly, while compared to the rest of the line, this bag tends to lean more to the calm side, there is still great black accents to the bag that subtle but separate it from other all other “plain” color bags.
In conclusion, Ouul is a double threat. Not only do they look good but they perform well as well. Both of the bags Ouul sent us have felt great walking 18 because it’s one of the lightest bags on the market and have gotten a lot of notice and complements from our playing partners on the back of our cart. These bag look and perform like any high end bag on the market but doesn’t break the bank. If you really want to separate yourself from the crowd check out the Alligator line.
