Golf Starz take on the SIME Darby LPGA Malaysia
Week three of Golf Starz giving you our insight on the LPGA. After a very weak showing on week one with our picks…we totally redeemed ourselves. Last week our picks showed up and performed. Let’s see if we can keep this momentum going this week.
Last week at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship Presented by CTBC – we saw Eun-Hee Ji hoist the trophy for the first time in over 8 years. Ji was able to hold off a charging Lydia Ko from being able to call herself a two-time champion. Ji maintained control the whole weekend. Every scorecard Ji turned in was under par and three under 70. Quite a performance.
This week, the LPGA heads to a course we are all familiar with, TPC Kuala Lumpur. As you may remember the PGA was here two short weeks ago and unfortunately had to use the East Course to warm up when weather forced a late start.

The East Course provides a typical risk vs reward design. Similar to when the PGA teed it up, we expect to see wet conditions, which will help those players who are able to place their shots. The East Course similar to the West course uses the natural beauty of Malaysia as a back drop on every hole. Water and small fairways are common hole to hole. The East Course provides both an island green and another par three with huge water in front of the hole. Maybe we will have a Tin Cup moment?

Week three of the LPGA Asian swing continues to have a packed field. With the season getting closer to the finish line, everyone is fighting for the top position in the Race to the CME Globe and Rolex Player of the year. As we get closer to the season ending tournament, unless you are in the top 12, you will be mathematically eliminated from the million dollar purse. This week we have 16 winners from this past season, 15 of the top 20 in the world, and 43 of the top 50 players on the 2017 money list. The field is littered with past winners. With some of the top golfers still surging week in and week out, this week’s tournament shapes up to be a great one to watch.
Check out the whole field here.
One added bonus…more #golfafterdark.
