Did you know the Moscow Mule is not even from Russia? Yet again, America comes up with another amazing drink. Moscow mules are making a resurgence and I think every restaurant I have been to either has the classic take on the Moscow Mule or their own adaptation. We are seeing people mix bourbon, gin, and even tequila with the mule. While, I have tried many different “takes” on the mule, some being better than others I felt the place to start was the traditional classic mule.
The mule is a simple drink to make and an even easier drink to drink. Mules are great with a good dinner or even great to enjoy while drinking with the boys. No matter the season, the bitterness of the ginger beer works with cold or warm.
First, fill the glass with ice and a couple oz of vodka…now the drink works with either the mule glass or not.
Second, fill the rest of the cup with ginger beer…we are fans of goslings ginger beer.
Third, garnish with lime juice or limes to taste.
Here at Golf Starz we are all about easy drinks to make. Tip your bartenders/cart girls and never drink and drive.
