So today’s featured post comes from our friend Mr. Lafferty Daniels on a product that brings performance and swagger to your clubs. Below is his review – enjoy!

SwingStyle Golf is everything I love about golf right now – a small company finding a new way to innovate golf equipment and turn the industry on it’s head.  SwingStyle’s slogan is ‘Look Good, Play Better’ – I could not agree more. I am all for any chance to add a little swagger to my game.

When I grew up learning the game, there were maybe a hand full of companies that had equipment on the market.  Sure, there were some companies out there on the fringe but really, there were only a handful. This meant there were very limited options when it came to gear. There was really no room for a personal touch to your wrenches. SwingStyle is now filling that void and allowing golfers to personalize their clubs and to get away from the dime a dozen black grip.

SwingStyle sent our team the Stars and Stripes grip to try out. Due to perfect timing, we got the grips and put them on our clubs right in time for the Ryder Cup – if that little bit of America doesn’t make you want to Dikembe Mutombo finger wag the other guys in your foursome like Captain America Patrick Reed, then I don’t know what will. Now lets get down to performance.  I put the SwingStyle grip on my Titleist 60 degree Vokey.  I will admit, the grip did take me a couple holes to get used to.  I was not use to the two layers of rubber polymer.  This gave a soft feel to the grip and the club.  Now that we are heading into the fall and cold weather golf I am excited to see how this grip holds up.  The soft feel will help on the cold mornings.  Also, the soft feel really allowed me to have a little extra touch around the green when I needed it.

Additionally, the grip initially felt a little slick but after some getting used to it I personally prefer the soft feel. After adding a little moisture to my glove there was no issue with tac.

Performance plus swag means that these grips are a must try and for only $11.99 a grip and I suggest once you finish reading this you buy one for yourself and give it a try.  Only thing I wish is that they would come out with an Ohio Flag grip…

Mr. Lafferty Daniels is a weekend warrior when it comes to golf.  Mr. Daniels shoots in the mid to low 90’s most of the time.  Has been know to have a couple snowmen on the score card but with the right amount of luck and sometimes with a little help from the trusty foot wedge can find his way into a birdie.

SwingStyle sent us the Stars and Stripes Grip free of charge. All of the reviews we share on Golf Starz are our own opinions and are products we would undoubtedly recommend, use or purchase on our own.
